Due to a cock, Manjeet Deb and Prosenjeet Deb, two brothers, along with their neighbor, perished after plunging into a well. After they didn’t come out of it for a while, the family told the police.

The family became alarmed when none of the children emerged from the well, so their neighbor dove into it to save them. The younger son of the house had jumped into a well to save a cock, and his older brother had followed suit after witnessing nothing happen. The family eventually told the police about the incident.

The location of this incident is Lakhimpur, Assam. A street band belonging to the Tactor Tilla Basahaat family unintentionally fell into a well next to the home. The brothers dove into the well to save the band, but no one emerged from it until a considerable amount of time had passed. At that point, his neighbor also dove in, but no one emerged from the well. The family alerted the local police to their suspicions.

Following the information, police contacted the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF). Three dead bodies were removed from the area, and the report said that the cause of death was asphyxia from a toxic gas mixture that contained water.
