DDA Housing Scheme: The DDA would begin registration for about 40,000 unsold flats at various locations from August 19. The three new housing schemes involve ready-to-move-in freehold properties that follow the building bylaws and entail a discount of 15%.

The schemes aim to generate revenue and revive the affordable housing segment. Across different categories, these schemes will offer flats at discounts. All the units would be freehold and ready for possession before the transfer. As private builders are shifting focus to premium projects, the DDA has planned to offer affordable housing with some flats as low as Rs 11.5 lakh.

DDA Launches Affordable Housing Schemes

‘This is a major step for the affordable housing market.’ Price would start from as low as Rs 11 lakh. So the DDA is catering to people who want economical housing,’ said an official.

The first scheme, DDA Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme 2024, would have approximately 34,000 EWS and LIG flats across various locations like Ramgarh Colony, Siraspur, Loknayakpuram, Rohini, and Narela. The DDA will offer flats starting from Rs 11.5 lakh on a first-come, first-served basis, with a fixed registration fee of Rs 2,500. The booking amount is Rs 50,000 for EWS flats and Rs 1 lakh for LIG. The probable buyers can have a look at the properties before the registration process starts.

The DDA General Housing Scheme 2024 will offer 5,400 flats in all categories—HIG, MIG, LIG, and EWS—at Jasola, Loknayakpuram, and Narela for a starting price of Rs 29 lakh. The registration charges are pegged at Rs 2,500, and the booking amount varies from Rs 50,000 for EWS to Rs 10 lakh for the HIG category.

The DDA Dwarka Housing Scheme 2024 will also comprise 173 flats in the MIG and HIG categories. Sector-wise, these units—situated in Dwarka sectors 14, 16B, and 19B—are being sold through e-auction, starting at Rs 1.2 cr.
