Uddhav Thackeray Ajit Pawar Opposition meet

New Delhi: Right after the second meeting of Opposition parties in Bengaluru yesterday, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray along with his son Aditya Thackeray met Deputy CM Ajit Pawar on Wednesday in Mumbai.

The meeting between the two prominent leaders of Maharashtra has everyone puzzled about the motive of the gathering. However, this is the first official meeting with Uddhav Thackray after Ajit Pawar was deupted the Deputy CM.

“I met Ajit Pawar and congratulated him, and I hope he will do the right work for the people. I have worked with him in 2019 as well and I know his style of work,” said Uddhav Thackeray post the meeting.

Key Opposition Meeting On July 18 

The Shiv Sena (UBT) also attended the meeting of Opposition leaders who named their front ‘I.N.D.I.A.’ through a brief discussion. The next meeting of the ‘I.N.D.I.A.’ allies s going to be held in Mumbai itself.

Ajit Pawar as Deputy CM in Uddhav Thackeray cabinet 

It is worth noting that Ajit Pawar was designated as the Deputy CM even when Uddhav Thackeray had assumed the Chief Minister’s office earlier when the Shiv Sena was intact and a single unit.

Following the rebellion against Uddhav Thackeray, party leader Eknath Shinde took a majority of MLAs along with him and joined hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to get power in the state.

In similar incident earlier, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar led 8 MLAs on July 2 to the Raj Bhawan and took oath as ministers. The MLAs including Dilip Walse Patil, Aditi Tatkar Chhagan Bhujbal among others.
