Tamil Nadu Chief Minister announced Rupees 5 lakh ex-gratia for the family member of people who lost their life due to cyclone Fengal. Further he made an announcement for damaged houses that is Rs 10,000.
CM MK Stalin had held a review meeting on the situation in Tamil Nadu. He announced the compensation for the damage caused due to effect of cyclone.
Tamil Nadu Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin joined the meeting through video conference.
Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin gave an assurity that all damaged houses will get constructed under the Kalaignar Dream House Scheme.
For damage caused to crops the government have announced certain amount. The Tamil Nadu government will give Rs 17,000 per hectare for damage to paddy crop up to 33% or above it. Apart from this, they will be providing Rs 22,500 per hectare for the damage to perennial crops and trees.
CM MK Stalin also announced Rs 8,500 per hectare for the damage caused to other crops. People who lost their animals which includes, bulls and cows will be getting Rs 37,500.
People who lost their goats and hens during the flood will get Rs 4000 and Rs 100.
Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin mentioned that camps will be created in the areas affected from flood for assisting people who have lost their documents like, Voter ID card and other important documents.
On Tuesday PM Narendra Modi called Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin over the flood situation in most of the parts of state.
MK Stalin mentioned about this on his post on X, saying, “Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi contacted me over phone and inquired about the serious damage caused in Tamil Nadu.

He further mentioned that, “I reiterated my letter to the Hon’ble Prime Minister that the state government is dealing effectively with the disaster and relief assistance is being provided to the affected people and to provide relief to the people of Tamil Nadu due to this storm and to send a Union committee to carry out a detailed assessment of the storm damage. I am sure that the Hon’ble Prime Minister will immediately consider this request of Tamil Nadu and take appropriate measures.”
