Cyclone Biporjoy: Dr Mritunjay Mohapatra, Director General of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday said that cyclone Biparojoy’s landfall would start today evening and continue till midnight. 

He said heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is expected and there are chances of inundation too.

IMD Director General requested people who are residing on high alert must not venture out. 

He informed that the wind speed during the landfall could be 140 Kmph to 150 Kmph and it can do some structural damage as well. According to him, areas adjoining Kutch in Gujarat will more likely to effect by cyclones.
