Prayagraj: A crude bomb was thrown on Tuesday near house of one of the advocates who represented gangster Atiq Ahmed, in Gobar Gali area of Katra in Prayagraj district.
According to the information, no one was harmed in the attack.
As per police sources, the attack was not a targeted one and it was a result of rivalry between two groups. The Colonelganj police rushed to the spot as soon as they got the information.
Mafia-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were shot dead by some miscreant in front of UP Police and Media while both of them were taken to hospital for medical in Prayagraj last week.
As per the information, they both were interacting with media persons when 3 miscreants, who pretended themself as a media persons, fired on them. Police arrested the accused and took them to some unknown place.
