As compared to yesterday, a decline has been recorded in the daily cases of corona in the country even today. Today 906 new cases of corona have been reported in the country. During this, 20 people have died due to corona infection. Earlier on Wednesday, 1021 new cases of corona were reported in the country while 4 people died. In this way, a decline of 115 has been registered in the new daily case of Corona in the last 24 hours.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health this morning (18 May 2023), 906 new cases of corona infection were reported in the country in the last 24 hours. During this, there is news of death of 20 people due to Corona Update. These include seven people whose names have been added to the list of patients who succumbed to the global pandemic by Kerala while reconciling the death toll from the infection. At the same time, 2,100 people in the country were successful in defeating the corona virus infection, that is, became healthy. With this, the number of active cases of corona in the country has come down from 11,393 to 10,179. In this way, a decrease of 1214 has been registered in the number of active cases in the last 24 hours.

At the same time, active cases comprise 0.03 percent of the total infections. According to the information available on the Ministry’s website, about 220.66 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
