Covid Update: The global pandemic Covid-19 is losing its grip day by day in India. However, it has not been completely eradicated but its impact gets diminished in the country. In the last 24 hours, over 100 new cases of Covid have been reported in India. While two deaths reported in 24 hours.

109 new cases in 24 hours

The covid-19 crisis has reduced considerably. For the last one month, there is a continuous decline in the graph of Corona. However, today a slight increase has been recorded in the daily cases of corona in the country as compared to yesterday. Today 109 new cases of corona have been reported in the country. While there is news of the death of two people due to corona infection during this period. One death each has been reported from Kerala and Uttar Pradesh. Earlier on Wednesday, 96 new cases of corona had come in the country on Wednesday, while there was news of death of one person. That is, 13 more new cases of corona have been reported today as compared to yesterday.

Covid decreasing in India

According to the data released this morning (9 February 2023) by the Ministry of Health, 109 new cases of corona infection were reported in the country in the last 24 hours. During this, two people have died due to corona infection. While during this period 101 people managed to beat the corona virus infection. With this, the number of active cases of corona has reduced to 1 thousand 781 in the country. In this way, a decrease of 4 has been registered in the number of active cases in the last 24 hours.

The number of Covid infected in the country is 4,46,83,748

With this, the total number of corona infected in the country has increased to 4 crore 46 lakh 83 thousand 748. While the number of people getting cured has increased to a total of 4 crore 41 lakh 51 thousand 219. At the same time, a total of 5 lakh 30 thousand 748 people have died due to Corona virus infection in the country.

According to the information given by the Union Health Ministry, the number of people recovering from corona is increasing continuously. Now the recovery rate in the country has increased to 98.81 percent. The daily positivity rate is 0.08% and the weekly positivity rate is 0.08%. While the death rate remains at 1.19 percent. Whereas active cases comprise 0.01 per cent of the total infections. According to the information available on the Ministry’s website, about 220.61 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign.

On August 9, 2020, the number of people infected with the corona virus in India had crossed 20 lakhs, on August 23, 2020, 30 lakhs and on September 5, 2020, more than 40 lakhs. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November. On 19 December 2020, these cases had crossed one crore in the country. Last year on May 4, the number of infected had crossed two crore and on June 23, 2021, it crossed three crore. On January 25 this year, the total cases of infection had crossed four crores.
