Covid Update 29 December: Condition of Covid situation is worsening everyday second in China as every rank and file in China is struggle to breathe. On the contrary India is taking sigh of relief as number of cases in under the 300 mark. However, on Thursday India has witnessed a spurt in daily Covid cases. It is noted that there has been continuous decline in new cases for the last few months.

In view of the rising havoc of Corona in China, several precautionary steps are being taken in India as well. It is feared that in the next 40 days, there is a possibility of increase in Kovid-19 cases in India again. That’s why people are being appealed to follow the safety protocol and get fully vaccinated.

In the last 24 hours, 268 new cases of corona have been reported in the country. While there is no news of death of any person due to corona infection. Earlier on Wednesday, 188 new cases of corona infection were reported in the country. The good thing is that during this time no one was killed. As compared to yesterday, a decrease of 80 has been recorded in the daily number of new infected patients.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health this morning (26 December 2022), 268 new cases of corona infection were reported in the country in the last 24 hours. During this, 188 people managed to beat the corona virus infection. With this, the number of active cases of corona has increased to 3 thousand 552 in the country. In the last 24 hours, an increase of 84 has been recorded in the number of active cases.

With this, the total number of corona infected in the country has increased to 4 crore 46 lakh 77 thousand 915. While the number of people getting cured has increased to a total of 4 crore 41 lakh 43 thousand 671. At the same time, a total of 5 lakh 30 thousand 696 people have died due to corona virus infection in the country.

According to the information given by the Union Health Ministry, the number of people recovering from corona is increasing continuously. Now the recovery rate in the country has increased to 98.80 percent. The daily positivity rate is 0.15% and the weekly positivity rate is 0.18%. While the death rate remains at 1.19 percent. According to the information available on the website of the Ministry, under the nationwide vaccination campaign, more than 220.06 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far.

Let us tell you that on August 9, 2020, the number of people infected with the corona virus in India had crossed 20 lakhs, on August 23, 2020, 30 lakhs and on September 5, 2020, more than 40 lakhs. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November. On 19 December 2020, these cases had crossed one crore in the country. Last year on May 4, the number of infected had crossed two crore and on June 23, 2021, it crossed three crore. On January 25 this year, the total cases of infection had crossed four crores.
