Covid Update 2023: India has reported less than 200 Covid cases amid rising cases in China. Decline in Covid graph has been witnessed for the last few months in the country. On the other hand china is fighting tough to tackle Covid. The situation of China is worsening day after day. It is considered that Cornavirus is on the verge of extinction in India as Indians have become ‘immunized’ to the virus. Government has already in action mode over the covid preparedness following the worse condition of China. Many precautionary steps have been taken in India. It is feared that in the next 40 days, there is a possibility of increase in Covid-19 cases in India again. That’s why people are being appealed to follow the safety protocol and get fully vaccinated.

In the last 24 hours, 173 new cases of corona have been reported in the country. While there is news of death of 2 people due to corona infection. Earlier on Sunday, 265 new cases of corona infection were reported in the country. While 3 patients had died. Earlier on Saturday, 226 new cases were registered. While 243 new cases were reported on Friday. As compared to yesterday, a decrease of 92 has been registered in the daily number of new infected patients.

Ministry of Health

According to the data released this morning (January 2, 2023) by the Ministry of Health, 173 new cases of corona infection were reported in the country in the last 24 hours. During this, 207 people managed to beat the corona virus infection. With this, the number of active cases of corona in the country has come down to 2 thousand 670. A decrease of 36 has been registered in the number of active cases in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total number of corona infected in the country has increased to 4 crore 46 lakh 78 thousand 822. While the number of people getting cured has increased to a total of 4 crore 41 lakh 45 thousand 445. At the same time, a total of 5 lakh 30 thousand 707 people have died due to corona virus infection in the country.

According to the information given by the Union Health Ministry, the number of people recovering from corona is increasing continuously. Now the recovery rate in the country has increased to 98.80 percent. The daily positivity rate is 0.17% and the weekly positivity rate is 0.15%. While the death rate remains at 1.19 percent. Whereas active cases comprise 0.01 per cent of the total infections. According to the information available on the website of the Ministry, under the nationwide vaccination campaign, more than 220.10 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far.

Let us tell you that on August 9, 2020, the number of people infected with the corona virus in India had crossed 20 lakhs, on August 23, 2020, 30 lakhs and on September 5, 2020, more than 40 lakhs. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November. On 19 December 2020, these cases had crossed one crore in the country. Last year on May 4, the number of infected had crossed two crore and on June 23, 2021, it crossed three crore. On January 25 this year, the total cases of infection had crossed four crores.
