Covid surge: The State Governments on Friday once again intensified testing for Covid-19 and urged people to use mask, maintain social distancing and all Covid precautions. Covid-19 is seeing uptick in virus tally. India on Friday logged 3,095 cases in 24 hours.
New Delhi, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana are on alert over rising covid cases. Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj informed that the virus samples have shown that the spurt is high because of the XBB variant of coronavirus and its sub-variants. There is no new variant of covid.

According to the information given by the Union Health Ministry, the daily positive rate is currently 2.61 percent and the weekly positive rate is 1.91 percent. The number of people recovering from Corona is increasing continuously. Now the recovery rate in the country has increased to 98.78 percent. While the death rate remains at 1.19 percent. At the same time, active cases comprise 0.03 percent of the total infections. According to the information available on the Ministry’s website, about 220.65 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign.

Fridays see 3,095 new cases
For the last few days, the country is once again witnessing a spurt in the cases of Corona Update. As compared to Thursday, a big jump has been recorded in the daily cases of corona in the country today. Today 3095 new cases of corona have been reported in the country. During this, there is news of death of 5 people due to covid infection. In the last 24 hours, two people in Kerala, one each in Delhi and Himachal Pradesh have died due to corona infection. Earlier on Wednesday, 3016 new cases of corona had come in the country on Wednesday, while 14 deaths were reported. That is, today 1699 more new cases of corona have been reported in the country as compared to yesterday.
