Covid-19 Updates: Amid the hue and cry over the increasing cases of Covid-19 across the globe India has emerged as winner in combating the challenges and threat posed by this growing invisible pandemic. Covid-19 has already spread its tentacles over China, America, South Korea, Japan and other countries and the condition of China is getting worse day by day while India has worked intensely to minimalize the number of cases and it has succeeded to the more extent. India has reported 131 new cases in 24 hours on Friday.

Covid-19 Updates: 131 new cases reported

The Covid-19 crisis has reduced considerably. For the last one month, there is a continuous decline in the graph of Corona. However, as compared to Friday, there has been a slight increase in the daily cases of corona in the country today. Today 131 new cases of corona have been reported in the country. While there are reports of two deaths due to corona infection during this period. These include one case added to the list of the dead after Kerala re-adjusted its COVID-19 death toll. Whereas, the second case is related to Uttar Pradesh, where a patient died on Friday. Earlier on Friday, 145 new cases of corona were reported in the country while no death was reported. That is, today 14 fewer new cases of corona have been reported as compared to yesterday.

 Cases on decline

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health this morning (21 January 2023), 131 new cases of corona infection were reported in the country in the last 24 hours. During this, 1135 people managed to beat the corona virus infection. With this, the number of active cases of corona in the country has come down to 1 thousand 940. In the last 24 hours, a decrease of 6 has been registered in the number of active cases.

The number of corona infected in the country is 4,46,81,781

With this, the total number of corona infected in the country has increased to 4 crore 46 lakh 81 thousand 781. While the number of people getting cured has increased to a total of 4 crore 41 lakh 49 thousand 111. At the same time, a total of 5 lakh 30 thousand 730 people have died due to corona virus infection in the country.

Total infected so far – 4 crore 46 lakh 81 thousand 781

Total discharge so far – 4 crore 41 lakh 49 thousand 111

Total deaths so far – 5 lakh 30 thousand 730

According to the information given by the Union Health Ministry, the number of people recovering from corona is increasing continuously. Now the recovery rate in the country has increased to 98.80 percent. The daily positivity rate is 0.07% and the weekly positivity rate is 0.09%. While the death rate remains at 1.19 percent. Whereas active cases comprise 0.01 per cent of the total infections. According to the information available on the Ministry’s website, under the nationwide vaccination campaign, more than 220.18 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far.

Let us tell you that on August 9, 2020, the number of people infected with the corona virus in India had crossed 20 lakhs, on August 23, 2020, 30 lakhs and on September 5, 2020, more than 40 lakhs. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November. On 19 December 2020, these cases had crossed one crore in the country. Last year on May 4, the number of infected had crossed two crore and on June 23, 2021, it crossed three crore. On January 25 this year, the total cases of infection had crossed four crores.
