Corona Update: India witnessed a spurt in Covid-19 cases on Saturday. A total 6,155 new cases and 11 deaths have been reported in the country in last 24 hours. Union Health Minister, Dr.Mansukh Mandaviya presided over the covid preparedness meet. State health Ministers, principal secretaries of States and other concerned experts were participated in the meet. The virtual meeting organised to review the management to contain covid-19.

Mandaviya advised States to conduct mock drills of all hospitals infrastructure on April 10th and 11th. He also urged States to identify emerging hotspots by monitoring trends of ILI/SARI cases and sending sufficient samples for testing of COVID-19 and Influenza; and ramping up whole genome sequencing of positive samples.

It was also informed that while India has achieved over 90% coverage of primary vaccination, the coverage of precaution dose is very low. Union Health Minister advised States/UTs to ramp up vaccination of all eligible population, especially of the elderly and vulnerable population group.

6,155 new cases in 24 hours

For the last few days, the country is once again witnessing a spurt in the cases of Corona Update. As compared to yesterday, even today there has been a rise in the daily cases of corona in the country. Today 6155 new cases of corona have been reported in the country. During this, 11 people have died due to corona infection. Earlier on Friday, 6050 new cases of corona were reported in the country while 14 people died. In this way, in the last 24 hours, a rise of 105 new cases of corona has been recorded, which is 105 percent more than yesterday.

8 April 2023: On Friday, 6155 new cases of corona came in the country, while 11 people died.

7 April 2023: 6050 new cases of corona came in the country on Friday, while 14 people died.

6 April 2023: On Thursday, 5335 new cases of corona came in the country, while 6 people died.

5 April 2023: On Wednesday, 4435 new cases of corona were reported in the country, while 11 people died.

4 April 2023: On Tuesday, 3038 new cases of corona were reported in the country while 7 people died.

3 April 2023: On Monday, 3641 new cases of corona were reported in the country while 11 people died.

2 April 2023: On Sunday, 3824 new cases of corona were reported in the country while 4 people died.

1 April 2023: On Saturday, 2994 cases of corona were reported in the country while there was news of death of 9 people.

31 March 2023: There were 3095 cases of corona on Friday, while 5 people died.

The number of Covid-19 infected in the country is 4,47,51,259

With this, the total number of corona infected in the country has increased to 4 crore 47 lakh 51 thousand 259. While the number of people getting cured has increased to 4 crore 41 lakh 89 thousand 111. At the same time, a total of 5 lakh 30 thousand 954 people have died due to corona virus infection in the country.
