Covid-19 Update: India on Thursday recorded fresh 3,962 Covid-19 cases, taking down the number of active infections to 36,244 in the last 24 hours, according to Union health Ministry. Total 22 deaths are recorded in last 24 hours, the data updated at 8 am on Thursday said.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 2.17% while the weekly positivity rate was pegged at 3.13%. The total tally of Covid cases is at 4.49 crore (4,49,56,716).
The active cases now comprise 0.08 per cent of the total infections while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.73, according to the ministry website. Fatality rate was recorded at 1.18%.
3,962 new cases in 24 hours
There has been a slight increase in the daily cases in the country on Thursday. Today 3,962 new cases have been reported in the country. While 22 died of infection. Earlier on Wednesday, 3,720 new cases were reported in the country while 20 people died. A rise of 395 has been registered in daily cases in the last 24 hours.

According to the data released this morning by the Ministry of Health, 3962 new cases were reported in the country in the last 24 hours. Total 22 people died of Covid-19. At the same time, 7,873 people in the country were successful in defeating the infection. With this, the number of active cases in the country has come down from 40,177 to 36,244. In this way, a decrease of 3933 has been registered in the number of active cases in the last 24 hours.

With this, the total number of Covid cases in the country has increased to 4 crore 49 lakh 60 thousand 678. While the number of people getting cured has increased to 4 crore 43 lakh 92 thousand 828.
