Covid-19 Update: India on Wednesday witnessed a surge of 7,830 new Covid-19 cases, the highest in 223 days, according to the Union Health ministry. The active caseload crossed the 40,000 mark. Currently, there are total 40215 active cases in India. The daily positiviy rate was recorded at 3.65% and weekly positivity rate recorded at 3.83%, according to the health ministry data.

7,830 new cases in 24 hours

For the last few days, the country is once again witnessing a spurt in the cases of Corona Update. However, as compared to yesterday, there has been a slight decrease in the daily cases of Covid in the country on Tuesday. Today 7,830 new cases of corona have been reported in the country. During this, 16 deaths have been reported.

Earlier on Tuesday, 5676 new cases were reported in the country while 21 people died. A big jump of 2,054 new cases has been registered in the last 24 hours.

The tally of Covid-19 cases in the country was recorded at 4.47 crore (4,47,76,002), it showed. The country had recorded a single-day jump of 7,946 COVID-19 cases on September 1 last year.

Covid status

7,830 new infections – taking the total tally to 4,47,76,002. On Tuesday, a total of 5,676 cases were reported. According to the health ministry data, the active infections stand at 40,215. A total of 4,42,04,771 people have recuperated so far with the recovery rate rising to 98.72%. Meanwhile, with 16 new fatalities, the death toll due the disease has increased to 5,31,016. The fatality rate stands at 1.19%, the haelth ministry data revealed.

The country had recorded a single-day jump of 7,946 COVID-19 cases on September 1 last year. India has registered a single-day rise of 7,830 new coronavirus infections, the highest in 223 days, and the count of active cases in the country has increased to 40,215, according to Health Ministry data.
