Covid-19 Update: India on Monday recorded fresh 7,178 Covid-19 cases, taking the number of active infections to 65,683 in the last 24 hours, according to Union health Ministry. Total 208 doses administered in last 24 hours, the data updated at 8 am on Monday reported.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 9.16% while the weekly positivity rate was pegged at 5.41%. The total tally of Covid cases is at 4.48 crore (4,48,08,022).
The active cases now comprise 0.15 per cent of the total infections while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.67, according to the ministry website. Fatality rate was recorded at 1.18%.
7,178 new cases in 24 hours
For the last few days, the country is once again witnessing a spurt in the Covid cases. As compared to yesterday, a decline has been recorded in the daily cases in the country on Monday. Today 7,178 new cases have been reported in the country. Earlier on Sunday, 10112 new cases of corona were reported in the country while 29 people died. In this way, a big decline of 2934 has been registered in the new daily case of Covid in the last 24 hours.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health this morning (24 April 2023), 7178 new cases of corona infection were reported in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 9011 people in the country were successful in defeating the corona virus infection, that is, they became healthy. With this, the number of active cases of corona in the country has come down to below 66,000. At present, the number of corona active cases in the country has reached 65,683. In this way, a decrease of 2123 has been registered in the number of active cases in the last 24 hours. It has happened for 69 days when the number of active patients in the country has registered a decline.
