New Delhi: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha Thursday asserted that the relationship with neighboring country Bangladesh has strengthened with India while lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the latter’s visionary efforts for the state.
“Our connectivity has strengthened with Bangladesh also. Tripura’s future under PM’s vision is bright. We want law & order to further strengthen in the state. I request everyone to come together for the development of the state. We will develop the health sector,” said the Tripura CM.
“The way Prime Minister looks towards Tripura and works for the public here, it was definite that our government will once again come to power. Several national highway projects are underway in the state. The connectivity has got better here,” he added.
Manik Saha on Wednesday took oath as the Chief Minister of the northeast state Tripura for the second time in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP chief JP Nadda and other BJP leaders. The mega event was held at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala. Amit Shah and Nadda already arrived in Agartala on Tuesday. They were received at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport by Manik Saha.
Chief Minister-designate Manik Saha on Monday called on Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya to stake claim to form the government in the Northeast state.
“My sincere gratitude to all for electing me as the leader of the legislature party. Under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi ji, we shall work together to build ‘Unnata Tripura, Shrestha Tripura’ and ensure the welfare of all sections of people,” tweeted Saha after the meeting.
