New Delhi: Karnataka Pradesh Congress chief DK Shivkumar on Friday announced that Congress would fight the upcoming Assembly election alone.
Taking to News Agency ANI, Shivkumar said that Congress has no alliance in the state, we will be fighting alone.
“We do not have any alliance, we would fight alone, we are fully confident that we would form government alone'” said Shivkumar.
DK Sivakumar was in Delhi to take part in the Congress Central Election Committee meeting. As per sources, Congress would announce the first list of Candidates for the Karnataka Assembly election on March 20.

Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Velgam for campaigning, it is said that Congress could announce candidates for 120-130 seats before Rahul’s rally.
The CEC meeting took place under the supervision of Congress president Mallika Arjun Kharge in which Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal, Siddarmaiya, Mukul Vasnik, and Randeep Surjewala presented along with others senior leaders.
The State Assembly election in Karnataka may take place in May this year.
