Congress veteran leader and party’s overseas unit chief Sam Pitroda said India needs to stop assuming that China is the enemy. He said the confrontational approach creates enemies and it is in the nation’s mindset from the very beginning.
While speaking to news agency IANS, Pitroda said, “I don’t understand the threat from China. Our approach has been confrontational from the very beginning, and this attitude creates enemies. We need to stop assuming that China is the enemy from day one.”
He further said that the time has come to network nations not to confront and the nation’s attitude has been of confrontation from day one. He said it is not fair to assume China as an enemy from day one or to anybody.
Lashing out at Pitroda and the Congress Party, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi said, “Sam Pitroda has openly revealed the Congress party’s agreement with China… The serious thing is that the kind of thing Sam Pitroda has said is a very deep blow to India’s identity, diplomacy and sovereignty… Rahul Gandhi has also given many similar statements abroad… Some time ago, on his foreign tour, he had said that China has solved the problem of unemployment very well… Our 20 soldiers were martyred in Galwan and after that, if your overseas President speaks such language, then it is condemnable.”
“There is an organization called International Foundation for Electoral Systems which signed an agreement in 2011 with an Indian organization, India International Institute of Election Management, which is an organization associated with the Election Commission and the support coming from an organization called Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening which has links with George Soros’ Open Society Foundation, which invested half a billion dollars in India through USAID etc and since then 3.5 lakh dollars were coming to India every year…Whatever Sam Pitroda has said, it seems that the lyrics are of Sam Pitroda, and its lyricists are Soras and the Congress Party and the people of the INDI alliance are playing a symphony on it,” the BJP leader said.
