New Delhi: The Disciplinary Action Committee of Congress on Friday has suspended Patiala MP Preneet Kaur allegedly for “indulging in anti-party activities to help Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).”

In a notice issued to Preneet Kaur, the committee mentioned that they have received a complaint from Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring.

It also said that the view of Warring on Preneet Kaur, the wife of former Congress leader and ex-Chief Minister of Punjab Amrinder Singh, was shared by other party members as well. Taking the complain into consideration, Kaur was sacked this afternoon with immediate effect.

Kaur has been given a time of 3 days to show cause as to why she should not be expelled.
