Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Monday, launched a fierce attack on the Congress and RJD while addressing a massive public rally in the Garkha Assembly constituency of Saran district in support of NDA candidate Seemant Mrinal.
He said the Congress and RJD not only defamed Bihar’s identity, but also insulted Hindu faith by denying the existence of Mata Janaki and Lord Shri Ram. “Congress says Lord Ram never existed. What could be a bigger insult to Hindus than this?” he asked, adding that the RJD government stopped the Ram Rath Yatra and ordered lathi charges on devotees, while the Samajwadi Party even opened fire on them.
“Despite their opposition, we stood firm and said, ‘Ram Lalla hum aayenge, Mandir wahi banayenge’. Today, the grand Ram Temple stands completed in Ayodhya, something only possible because of the BJP’s double-engine government,” he said.
Targeting the RJD, Yogi said that between 1992 and 2005, Bihar became synonymous with massacres, kidnappings, and fear. “Over 60 caste-based massacres and more than 30,000 kidnappings took place. Traders were unsafe, daughters were afraid to step out, and youth were forced to migrate. That was RJD’s Bihar,” he said.
Yogi Adityanath remarked further that under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the countdown for Bihar’s mafias began, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi accelerated development and restored pride in India’s heritage. He warned that those who once pushed Bihar into chaos have now returned to deceive people again.
Yogi said, “Those who claim to follow Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan couldn’t even build a hospital in his wife’s name. The NDA built a 100-bed hospital in Sitab Diara to honour her. That’s the difference between those who honour legacies and those who erase them. This is true nationalism.”
Taking a jibe at the opposition, he said, “Mahatma Gandhi had three monkeys who saw, heard, and spoke no evil. But the INDI alliance has its own trio—Pappu, Tappu, and Appu—who refuse to see the truth, hear the truth, or speak it. That’s why they fail to recognize Modi ji’s development work and his respect for heritage.”
Accusing the RJD of sheltering mafias, Yogi said, “Even today, they openly embrace hereditary criminals. You must remember how acid was thrown on Chandu Babu. Such crimes were routine under RJD’s rule. But now, the bulldozer model that ended mafia rule in Uttar Pradesh will soon do the same in Bihar.”
Emphasizing cultural and emotional ties between the two states, Yogi said, “The bond between Bihar and Uttar Pradesh is ancient—rooted in a Roti-Beti relationship since the Treta Yuga. We are one family; when UP progresses, Bihar progresses too.”
He appealed to voters to support NDA candidate Seemant Mrinal (LJP-R) on the helicopter symbol, saying, “To restore Bihar’s identity, respect, and development, ensure his grand victory.”
