Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge hospitalised in Bengaluru

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge was admitted to MS Ramaiah Hospital in Bengaluru after developing a fever. According to reports, the 83-year-old president of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), Kharge, was hospitalised late Tuesday after his health deteriorated. Doctors promptly carried out a series of tests to evaluate his condition.

The news of the Congress President being hospitalised raised alarm among Congress party leaders, supporters, and workers. Social media is abuzz with wishes for his speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, Mallikarjun Kharge will visit Kohima on October 7 to address a public rally at Naga Solidarity Park. Speaking to the media at Kohima’s Congress Bhavan, Lok Sabha MP S Supongmeren Jamir announced that around 10,000 people would attend the rally.

The theme of the event is “Safe Democracy, Safe Secularism, and Safe Nagaland.” According to the statement, separate meetings are scheduled to be held between Kharge and senior members of the Congress Political Affairs Committee, Pro-Committee, and presidents of the District Congress Committees (DCCs).

During his visit, Kharge will be joined by AICC General Secretary (Organisation) KC Venugopal, the Congress party’s Nagaland in-charge, and other national leaders.
