Earlier today, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh expressed concern over the slow update of Haryana election trends on the website of the Election Commission (EC).
He wrote a letter to ECI, stating, “Slowdown in updating results allows bad-faith actors to spin narratives that undermine the process.”
In the latest development, Congress MP Jairam Ramesh offered his perspective on the situation in Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir. He said, “The chapter on Haryana is not complete, it will continue. The chapter in Jammu and Kashmir, of course, there will be a coalition government. And as I said till yesterday, various attempts were being made to ensure that the majority will not come to the Congress-NC coalition but the people of Jammu and Kashmir have given a very clear mandate for this coalition government.”

The Congress leader declared on an X post, “Like Lok Sabha elections in Haryana, we’re again witnessing a slowdown in updating the latest trends on the ECI website. Is BJP trying to create pressure on the administration by sharing old and misleading trends?”
ECI Reacts
The Election Commission of India (ECI) dismissed the Congress leader’s allegations regarding the delay in the updating results for the Haryana Assembly elections. On Tuesday, ECI issued a statement ruling out Ramesh’s concerns in this regard.
ECI wrote on X, “EC dismisses unfounded allegations by Shri Jairam Ramesh regarding slowdown in updating results of Haryana Elections 2024. Approx. 25 rounds across all constituencies are being updated every 5 mts. Counting is being done as per statutory provisions.”
