New Delhi: After announcing Chief Minister and Deputy CM faces for Karnataka, Congress on Thursday invited heads of like-minded political parties for a swearing-in ceremony scheduled on May 20.
According to news agency ANI, Janta Dal United chief and Bihar’s CM Nitish Kumar and his deputy and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and Nationalist Congress Party president Sharad Pawar have been invited to the swearing-in ceremony of Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar.
As per news agency, JMM leader and Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren. CPI leader Sitaram Yechuri, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav and Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik are also among the invitees.
TMC chief Mamata Banerjee, Telangana chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, and Tamil Nadu CM Mk Stalin have also got invitation calls, sources said.
Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, party leader Rahul Gandhi and Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi will attend the swearing-in ceremony.
