New Delhi: Congress leader Rajeev Shukla on Thursday said that the party’s president will pick who will be the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh.

Speaking to ANI about the Himachal Pradesh election results, Rajeev Shukla, in-charge of the Himachal Pradesh Congress, said the party leader will make a decision on the chief minister’s office. In response to horse trade speculation, Shukla stated that there is no opportunity for horse trading.

According to the trends so far, Shukla believes the Congress Party will win roughly 40 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party will gain 25 seats, and so the BJP would not undertake horse trading.

Speaking about the future plans, Rajeev Shukla stated that he and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will travel to Shimla and will tell the party’s top command after hearing from the MLAs.

Rajeev Shukla credited Priyanka Gandhi Vadra with the victory, saying that Priyanka Gandhi worked hard for the Himachal elections. Rajeev Shukla also attributed Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra to Himachal’s success, claiming that the Bharat Jodo Yatra had a beneficial impact on the hill state’s voters.

Shukla stated that the Congress party has made ten promises to the people, which will be fulfilled as soon as the government is constituted.

After the observers, including Shukla, arrive in Chandigarh, a decision will be made today on whether all of the victorious Congress MLAs would be summoned to Chandigarh or requested to convene in Shimla.

Finally, Shukla described the triumph as a gift from God.

According to the most current Election Commission website update, the BJP has won 25 seats, while the Congress has won 40 seats.

The Congress is dispatching Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who is also an observer for the Himachal elections, as well as other top figures like Bhupinder Hooda and the party’s Congress in-charge Rajiv Shukla to the hill state, where the party appears to have a good chance of winning.

Baghel told reporters today that there were concerns over poaching of Congress MLAs. Baghel and Shukla are scheduled to arrive in Chandigarh later today, while Hooda is already there.
