New Delhi: The Indian National Congress on Saturday appointed Pramod Tiwari as deputy leader and Rajani Patil as party's whip in the Upper House (Rajya Sabha). According to sources in Congress, congress president Mallikaarjun Kharge approved the names of both to fill the vacancies following the retirement of Anand Sharma and demise of Rajeev Satav. The letter about these appointments has been sent to the Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, sources said. Pramod Tiwari is a three-time Rajya Sabha MP. Previously, He served as a cabinet minister in the Uttar Pradesh government. Rajni Patil is a ttwo-timeRajya Sabha MP from Maharashtra.
