According to the Election Commission’s data, Mukesh Rajput is contesting from the Farrukhabad Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh on a BJP ticket. The Congress shared the video on its social media platform, urging the election body to “wake up” and address the incident.
“Dear Election Commission, do you see this? One person is voting 8 times. It’s time to wake up,” the Congress party wrote. Meanwhile, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav also shared the video on his social media handle, urging the commission to investigate. On X, he wrote, “If the Election Commission deems this as incorrect, they should definitely take action, otherwise,” He further commented, “The BJP’s booth committee is essentially a loot committee.”
Recently, another video went viral showing a BJP leader’s minor son casting a vote at a polling booth in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The boy, identified as the son of BJP panchayat leader Vinay Mehar, was seen voting on the EVM on behalf of his father, who stood nearby.
Kamal Nath’s media advisor Piyush Babele wrote, “BJP has made a child’s plaything out of the Election Commission. In Bhopal, BJP’s district panchayat member Vinay Mehar had his minor son cast his vote. Vinay Mehar also recorded a video while casting his vote and posted it on Facebook.”
