New Delhi: After Bihar CM Nitish Kumar met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi at Kharge’s residence on Monday, Congress said that the meeting of opposition parties will be held and the dates will be announced in 1-2 days.

Interacting with media, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said that a vast number of parties will take part in the meeting.

Bihar’s CM, accompanied by his deputy Tejashwi Yadav met Congress President Kharge and former MP Rahul Gandhi as part of his effort to bring all opposition parties together before the 2024 General Election.

Earlier on Sunday, he visited Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to express solidarity with Aam Aadmi party-led Delhi government against the central government’s move to bring an ordinance against the Supreme Court verdict.

Recently, in a crucial verdict, SC stated that all the services matters, including transfers of bureaucrats, should be governed by the elected government and not by Lieutenant Governor.

Since he parted ways with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2022, CM Nitish Kumar has been meeting top leaders of Opposition parties to bring them together to defeat BJP in the 2024 General Election.
