Congress’ 85th plenary session: Priyanka Gandhi, Congress general secretary and Rahul Gandhi arrived in Raipur on Saturday to attend the 85th plenary session of the party.
Priyanka got warm welcome at the airport. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel received her at the airport. Flower petals were laid out on the streets to welcome Priyanka Gandhi and other Congress leaders in Raipur.
On Saturday, the second day of the 85th plenary session of the party, a meeting of the top leadership of the Congress will be held. Priyanka Gandhi has reached Raipur to attend the Convention. The Congress party has made elaborate arrangements to welcome Priyanka Gandhi.

Around 15,000 delegates are attending the Congress General Session. On the first day of the session, the Congress Working Committee unanimously decided not to hold elections for the Congress Working Committee and authorized the party chief to nominate its members.

On Saturday, the second day of the party’s 85th plenary session, there will be a meeting of the top leadership of the Congress which is being attended by around 15,000 delegates. On the first day of the session, the Congress Working Committee unanimously decided not to hold elections for the Congress Working Committee and authorized the party chief to nominate its members. The decision was taken at a meeting of the steering committee headed by Kharge, which was not attended by members of the Gandhi family. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and veteran leader Sonia Gandhi will address the leaders in Raipur as well as the resolutions on political, economic and international affairs will be discussed in the plenary session.
