The Uttar Pradesh Pavilion at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) this year is not just a display of products; it is a powerful reflection of social transformation. The biggest highlight of the pavilion is the remarkable rise of women entrepreneurs from across the state, standing proudly behind startups, traditional crafts, food enterprises, and innovation-led ventures. The growing presence of these women marks a significant shift in Uttar Pradesh’s economic landscape, signaling a future where women are not just participants but leaders in development.
For years, the state has been working toward a holistic ecosystem where women feel safe, confident, and empowered. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, these efforts have taken the form of structured policies and grassroots action. The result is now visible, not only in trade fairs and exhibitions, but also in villages, urban centers, and global markets where women-led brands from Uttar Pradesh are finding space and recognition.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s governance model places women at the center of the state’s development vision. The government’s approach is not limited to financial support; it includes education, protection, leadership opportunities, and market access. This has helped turn empowerment into measurable economic strength.
One of the key pillars behind this transformation has been the state’s commitment to women’s safety and dignity. Special security arrangements for women have been implemented across districts to ensure mobility without fear. A network of 1,647 women’s help desks has been set up, reinforcing that women’s safety is not just a policy promise but an operational priority. This growing sense of security has given women the confidence to step beyond traditional boundaries and participate actively in business, education, and innovation.
Efforts like Mission Shakti have played a crucial role in expanding opportunities. Mission Shakti, in particular, has encouraged women’s participation in politics, employment, and overall social development. Women are now visible in areas where participation was previously limited, technology, modern agriculture, manufacturing units, and digital enterprises.
The Uttar Pradesh Pavilion features women-led Self-Help Groups, startups incubated under government schemes, and entrepreneurs who have benefitted from skill development programs, credit access, and mentoring initiatives. These women are producing a range of products, including millet-based items, Khadi apparel, eco-friendly decor, and organic cosmetics. Their ventures are not just contributing to the economy, they are inspiring others to follow.
As visitors explore the IITF Pavilion, what stands out is not only the variety of products but also the confidence, pride, and ambition of women who represent Uttar Pradesh. Their journey reflects a larger narrative of transformation, inclusion, and progressive development.
With the rise of women-led enterprises and continued policy support under CM Yogi’s leadership, Uttar Pradesh is setting a strong national example. The state is moving toward a future where women are not just beneficiaries of development they are the driving force behind it.
