‘There is nothing to fear’

Mamata launched a scathing attack on BJP at the home turf of Matua Community. The party quoted Mamata Banerjee in a post on X saying, “There is nothing to fear. Narendra Modi himself was elected on the 2024 voter list. If that list is now being called invalid, then even his government becomes invalid. They are playing the religion card, they are selling citizenship, and they are once again trying to mislead you with CAA. They are cheating you. You may write that you belong to the Matua community, but by making you write that, they are twisting it to imply that you came from Bangladesh. They are manufacturing that narrative. But do not be intimidated. Do not be alarmed. As long as I am here, I will never allow them to expel you.”

She further said, “What do you think of yourselves? How do you muster such audacity? You will not remain in power forever. 2029 will be a dangerous reckoning for you. When you are no longer in power, where will you run? Where will you seek shelter? If you harm the people, I take it as an attack on me. And if you dare to come after me, I will shake the very ground beneath your feet. The people of Bengal refuse to yield or bow. If the leaders in Delhi dream of capturing Bengal, let them know that Bengal will, in turn, topple their Government in Delhi.”

TMC: Remarkable wave of support from the Matua community

The party claimed that the Matua community backed Mamata Banerjee and it was witnessed during her interaction when people from large numbers turned up.

The party wrote on X, “A remarkable wave of support from the Matua community surged around Didi today, reflecting both their unshakable faith and their collective resolve. t a time when fear is being manufactured and rights are being trampled upon, she remains firmly at the forefront, leading with clarity, courage, and conviction. Didi’s presence is a shield for the vulnerable and a voice for the silenced.”

The West Bengal Chef Minister accused the BJP of plotting to stop her helicopter from flying and said that the opposition party did not want her to come here. Mamata said that she repeatedly warns the BJP not to try to mess with her. “Use as many agencies as you want, use the entire power of the central government if you wish-you still won’t be able to play games with me,” she said.
