Delhi Ordinance: Hailing the congress decision to support AAP against the Delhi Ordinance, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday thanked the grand old party president Mallikarjun Kharge.
Kejriwal termed the Delhi Ordinance as “anti-India” and said that it ought to be “fought tooth and nail”.
Taking the matter to Twitter, Kejriwal wrote, “Thank u Kharge ji for standing wid the people of Delhi. This ordinance is anti-India and anti-national and ought to be fought tooth and nail.”

However, Earlier on Monday, Congress chief Kharge stated that ‘no individual is bigger than the country’ while speaking on the party’s decision to extend its support against the Ordinance issue.
He also emphasized on the need to fight unitedly to save the constitution and the democracy of the country.
“This is not about just one person. If the democracy and Constitution of the country suffer a blow, it becomes our responsibility to unite and work together to save democracy & Constitution. No individual is bigger than the country…,” ANI quoted Kharge as saying.

On Sunday, Congress extended its unequivocal support to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over the Delhi ordinance issue.
Taking the matter to Twitter, AAP leader Raghav Chadha wrote, “Congress announces its unequivocal opposition to the Delhi Ordinance. This is a positive development.”
Congress leader Pawan Khera said, “Congress party will oppose the Centre’s ordinance on Delhi government.”

Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram has suggested that a “leader of united Opposition” will emerge in due course. He also expressed his disappointment with the way the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) raised the Delhi ordinance issue during the opposition meeting in Patna.
During the meeting, the Congress party’s stance on the Delhi ordinance issue created a significant disagreement among the opposition members. The AAP criticized the Congress for not supporting the Delhi government on this matter.
