New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday affirmed that each family residing in areas where there are inadequate drinking water facilities would get 20 litres of purified water.
Delhi CM made the announcement after inspecting Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plants in the Mayapuri area. He was accompanied by Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj.
The AAP government in the national capital has planned to place 500 water ATMs to facilitate RO drinking water for the people living in slums and densely populated areas.
The government will provide a water card. Through this, people will get 20 litres of drinking water.

While inspecting RO plants, Kejriwal informed that a total of four water ATMs have been installed and the government has planned to install 500 such ATMs in the first phase.
The CM said that water ATMs will be installed in slums and areas where drinking water facilities are not up to the mark.
Earlier, in April, the Delhi CM had asked Delhi Jal Board (DJB) to take immediate and concrete action to solve the issue of drinking water in deprived areas.
