The Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud offered prayers at the shrine of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirumala on Sunday. He was accompanied by his entourage as he entered the shrine through the Vaikuntha queue complex and prayed in the sanctum sanctorum.
Following the prayers, Chief Justice Chandrachud along with his family sought the blessings from the priests of the temple at Ranganayakula Mandapam. As per media reports, J Shyamala Rao, the executive officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), presented Srivari lamination photo and Thirtha Prasadams to the Chief Justice.

CJI Arrives At Tirupati Airport
The Chief Justice, on a two-day pilgrimage, arrived at the Tirupati Airport on September 28. He later paid a visit to Sri Padmavati Ammavaru temple in Tiruchanur, Andhra Pradesh.

His visit comes amid controversy over temple prasadam, after allegations from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who claimed substandard ingredients including animal fat were used in the preparation of popular Laddu at the Tirupati temple during the previous Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government.
