Pallavi Jha: In a strategic move to establish India’s self-reliance and counter China’s dominance, the Modi Government has started the production of Lithium Ion batteries under the “Make in India” campaign. The plant is established in Hyderabad. Here is an exclusive ground report of Pallavi Jha, News24 who reached the manufacturing plant to witness India’s ambitious project for the future
Currently, India witnesses only 1-2 per cent business of the electric vehicle due to its exorbitant costs. It is four times more expensive than the conventional vehicles. China’s dominance is also the biggest reason behind the sluggishness of the EV Market in India.
China does not want India to establish self-sufficiency in the production of electric cars, because China exports 98 per cent of lithium-ion batteries to the whole world, due to which China earns several billion annually, which earns $ 10 billion from India.
Now India will stop it soon because the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Modi Government has started the production of Lithium Ion Battery with Public Private Partnership.
India is going to give a blow of 10 billion dollars to China soon.

First of all, know what is lithium-ion battery and how it is made
Lithium-ion is a combination of cathode, anode, electrolyte and separator
India has started receiving cathode, anode, lithium and separator
and the technology by which lithium-ion batteries are made
GFX OUT
All the machinery in this process is now ready for the product to be used in lithium batteries
Scientists told that in how many stages the final product from which lithium battery is made is made
Tried to understand this technology closely at the International Advanced Research Center
The cost of electric cars can be reduced by 30 to 40 per cent due to the formation of lithium-ion batteries in India.
The electric car which is available for 15 lakhs today will be available in 9 to 10 lakhs due to lithium-ion battery production in India.

There is a plan to produce a 3 GW battery
1 million electric vehicles can be produced in 1 GW
This means 3 million vehicles can be made from 3 gigawatts.
Will be ready in 2024
Due to this, 15 to 20 per cent of electric vehicles in India will come on the roads of India in 2023.
That is, to end the dependence on China, PM Modi has prepared a foolproof plan. Be it lithium battery or semiconductor – now manufacturing units are being opened in India to give a big and tough challenge to China..and now the picture of the future of India is coming out from this plant.
