In Jaipur, Rajasthan, three people, including a child, were trapped in a basement filled with water due to heavy rainfall in the Dhawaj Nagar area. This new disaster comes just days after the tragic death of three UPSC aspirants who drowned in the basement of a coaching center in Delhi’s Old Rajendra Nagar area.
Jaipur DCP Amit Kumar said, “Reports say that three people are trapped in the basement: a woman, her niece, and a man. The basement flooded because a wall collapsed, leaving them with no time to escape. We are working on their rescue. It will take about an hour and a half to pump out the water, and we hope to get them out soon.”
