Kannauj: A video of people picking up chickens on road has gone viral on social media. The incident occurred when a pickup truck transporting chickens from Amethi to Firozabad overturned on the Kannauj expressway. As the news spread, people gathered in large numbers and began stealing the chickens. They were seen carrying two-three chickens in their hands and taking them away.
The Police and the UPEIDA officials later intervened and dispersed the crowd. The injured were taken to the hospital. According to the police, the pickup overturned after the driver dozed off.

Users wrote, “Kya hi kahein!!”, “Viksit Bharat” and “Aaj Toh Chicken Dinner Hoga.” While some users added funny comments, others pointed towards the seriousness of the issue. A user wrote that all of the locals should be put behind bars as to teach lesson to free loaders. “All of them should be put behind bars for a month, under cheating case. Let it be a lesson to free loaders in the whole country,” wrote the user.

In another viral video, atleast four people were killed and several others injured after a bus and tempo collided on the Purvanchal Expressway in Barabanki district in Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred after a bus travelling from Chhattisgarh to Ayodhya undergoing repairs on the expressway was hit by a tempo traveler. The tempo was heading to Ayodhya. Three people died on-spot, while one succumbed to injuries while en route to the hospital, stated the police.
