Chhattisgarh: Three District Reserve Group (DRG) soldiers have been martyred in a major encounter that took place between security forces and Naxalists in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.
As per the report, during the search operation, Naxalites ambushed the soldiers. In the open fire between security forces and Naxals, Three Jawans of DRG were martyred. The dead include ASI Ramuram Nag, assistant constable Kunjam Joga and constable Vanjam Bhima. Two soldiers were also injured during the confrontation.

The encounter took place at Ashram Para near Jagargunda on Saturday morning. During the encounter, There was rapid firing from both sides. During this, the sound of a bomb blast was also heard. According to police sources, soldiers were coming out from the newly established Kunder camp of Jagargunda area for a search operation when Naxalists opened fire on them.
