A shocking incident has come to light from Surguja district in Chhattisgarh, where a girl along with her lover killed her would-be husband. The duo (Girl and her lover) buried the body after killing the young man. It is reported that the girl called her fiance before the wedding and killed him with the help of her lover. The deceased has been identified as Amrit Lakra, a resident of Jajga village of Sitapur police station area. The duo was taken into police custody on the basis of suspicion.
Police have started digging of the land to recover the body of the deceased on the indication of the suspects. The incident took place in Ghoghara village of Batauli police station area.\
Further investigation into the case is underway.
Another Incident:
In another incident, reported from Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh, a man stabbed the bride with a knife and left her injured. The man is said to be her boyfriend, who entered the newly wed bride’s house and stabbed her. She had come to her in-laws’ house on Wednesday night after the wedding. He entered the house in the night and attacked her. The injured bride has been admitted to Kotba Primary Health Center. She has got 29 stitches on her hand in the attack.
Police have taken up the matter and are carrying further investigation into the case.
Such incidents of stabbing and murder raise concern about public safety. It also drives attention towards the underlying social and psychological issues that may be contributing to this kind of violence. Also, they call for timely action on such cases.
