Chhattisgarh Exit Polls 2023: Congress Seems To Bag Majority

Opinion polls for Chhattisgarh have predicted a BJP win but shown a drop in its number of seats indicating an increase in Congress share.

Opinion polls for Chhattisgarh have predicted a win for Congress but shown a drop in its number of seats indicating an increase in Congress’ share. According to India Today Axis My India Congress takes home 40-50 while BJP takes 36-46 and Others scores 1-5, ABP C Voter predicts 41-53 seats for Congress and 36-48 for BJP and 0-4 for Others.

Times Now-ETG predictions, foretelling an estimated win of 48-56 seats. Meanwhile, the BJP is expected to secure around 34-36 constituencies, with other parties likely to acquire two to four seats in the assembly. On the other hand, India TV CNX predicts that the Congress likely to 56-46, while BJP bags 32-40 seats.

In the previous 2018 assembly polls, the Congress secured a significant victory, marking its first ascendancy in the state’s governance. The party clinched a total of 68 seats, substantially outnumbering the BJP, which managed to secure only 15 seats. Additionally, the Janta Congress Chhattisgarh and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) secured five and two seats respectively, contributing to the diverse political landscape of the state assembly.
