Chhattisgarh Elections 2023: Who Is Winning The ‘Garh’? Today’s Chanakya Reveals
The democratic battle on 90 seats of Chhattisgarh is over and the countdown has already begun for December 3. After its formation in 2000, the naxal-hit state has seen three chief ministers so far with Dr. Raman Singh as the leader who has been the head of the state thrice from 2003 to 2018 before being succeeded by Bhupesh Baghel.
If we go by the political parties, the BJP has ruled the state thrice whereas Congress made it to the CM post twice with Ajit Jogi as the first chief minister of Chhattisgarh.
Will there be a swap? Is there a wave of anti-incumbency? Who is winning the state this time?
Congress vs BJP
The analysis of Today's Chanakya clearly states that there can be cut-throat competition between the two major parties i.e. BJP and Congress. However, if the analysis has to be believed, Congress seems scoring the winning card again. As per Chanakya, BJP can be seen as the second major party while Congress can again come with flying colours and give the high command a chance to choose between Baghel and Singh Dev.
If we go by classes of population, SC and ST have picked up Baghel govt once again whereas the general class voters have chosen the saffron brigade. However, the OBC seems swinging between both major parties.
