Chhattisgarh: Bus Collides With Truck At MP Border; One Dead And Several Injured | VIDEO

A bus carrying devotees from Raipur to Prayagraj reportedly collided with a truck in the middle of the road at the Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh border.

Pendra, Chhattisgarh: In a shocking incident that unfolded on Tuesday night, a bus carrying devotees from Raipur to Prayagraj reportedly collided with a truck at the Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh border. Unfortunately, the tragic collision claimed a passenger’s life while several others sustained injuries. The accident occurred because the truck was parked in the middle of the road. Highway patrolling is currently investigating the matter.

On the tragedy, Pendra SDOP Shyam Sidar said, “A bus traveling from Raipur collided with a backdown trailer loaded with coal, that was standing at the Anuppur-Chhattisgarh border. Many devotees have been injured, and one has died. The injured have been referred to the Anuppur District Hospital. The accident happened because the truck was parked in the middle of the road. Highway patrolling is investigating the matter. The accident happened late at night.”

In another recent tragedy that occurred in Telangana’s Medchal-Malkajgiri district, two State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) buses were gutted in flames after a massive fire broke out in a bus parked at the Kushaiguda bus depot. There are no casualties from the incident so far, the Fire Department informed. Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire broke out because of overheating of the bus engine.
