A viral video posted on X by India Tech Guide captured the unusual sight of several vehicles parked on a bridge in Chennai to protect cars from potential damage amid waterlogging.
Heavy rains continued to wreak havoc and disrupt normal life in Chennai and different parts of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday. The incessant downpour caused heavy traffic jams, disrupted public transport services, and led to the cancellation of several domestic flights.
The India Meteorological Department reported that the well-marked low-pressure area has intensified into a depression and is anticipated to cross the Chennai coast on October 17 (morning).

Flyover Turned Into Temporary Parking Lot
Amid the ongoing crisis, as streets became inundated, residents of Chennai found an alternative way to protect their vehicles from damage. Many decided to park their cars on the flyover, temporarily turning it into a parking lot.
