Raipur: Three people, including an army jawan, died on Monday after consuming illicit liquor in Chhattisgarh’s Janjgir-Champa district.
All three youths fainted after consuming alcohol after which they were taken to the hospital in an unconscious state. Where the doctors declared him dead. At present, an additional police force has been deployed in the village.
According to the police, Nandlal Kashyap, an army soldier, was a technician in the Indian Army and Paras Sahu and Satish Kashyap died due to consumption of spurious liquor.
According to villagers, all three had bought liquor from the village itself and then consumed it near the temple. All three suddenly fainted after drinking alcohol. People nearby took all three to Nawagarh CHC in a state of unconsciousness. Where the doctors declared him dead.
The relatives of the army jawan told that Nandlal was married on May 6. He had married a girl from the village itself. A feast was organized at the house on Monday. Meanwhile, he died of drinking alcohol.
ASP Anil Soni reached the spot after getting information about the incident. Police took all three bodies into custody and sent them for postmortem. At present the police are investigating the matter. An additional police force has been deployed in the village following the incident. 200 jawans have been deployed to ensure that the atmosphere in the village does not deteriorate in any way.
