Char Dham Yatra 2025: Pilgrimage Made Easier! Free WiFi And Mobile Network Now Available For Devotees

The Uttarakhand government and administration are constantly making efforts to make the yatra a successful and smooth journey for devotees.

The Char Dham Yatra 2025 is underway in Uttarakhand, and the fervour has increased with the opening of Badrinath Dham on Sunday. A large number of devotees gathered at the temple to witness the ceremonial reopening with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in attendance. The Yatra officially began on April 30 with the opening of the Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham, coinciding with Akshaya Tritiya. Subsequently, the doors of Kedarnath Dham were opened on May 2.

The Uttarakhand government and administration are constantly making efforts to make the yatra a successful and smooth journey for devotees. Security forces have been deployed, help desk have been set up and continuous monitoring is being done by the administration. The state government is leaving no stone unturned to make this yatra successful and pleasant experience. Furthermore, the government has placed special importance on the safety and security of pilgrims undertaking the Char Dham Yatra. Free WiFi And Mobile Network Available For Devotees

Earlier, CM Dhami had called the pilgrimage a festival for the people of Uttarakhand. “All the preparations have been done. We want the yatra to be safe, easy, and hassle-free. Various departments have made arrangements. We will be working to facilitate easy yatra for people,” CM Dhami added.

Now in this regards, under the leadership of CM Dhami, Uttarkahand governement has established its own mobile network. This network has been named "District Disaster Resource Network". Interestingly, this network will operate continuously in disaster or any dire situation. It provides the facility of mobile data, voice calling, high quality CCTV visuals and  free WiFi.
Rudraprayag District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar has taken this step to help the devotees coming to the district for Yatra.
Chief Development Officer GS Khati told ANI, “To take advantage of WiFi, one has to go to the WiFi setting and register his mobile number, after which an OTP will come on the mobile number, after filling which one can avail the benefit of high speed WiFi for half an hour.”
The facility has been dedicated to devotees after its successful trial on Saturday. With this move, Rudraprayag has become the first district in the country to have its own separate and complete mobile network.
