Around 11.27 am, Chandrababu Naidu took the oath near Gannavaram Airport in Kesarapalli, located on the outskirts of Vijayawada. Joining Naidu were Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan, the TDP supremo’s son Nara Lokesh, and 22 others.

Speaking to the legislators, Naidu affirmed his dedication to developing Amaravati as the sole capital of the state. ‘With your collective support, I will take the oath tomorrow (as the CM), and I express my gratitude to all of you for that. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending the swearing-in ceremony,’ Naidu stated, mentioning that he had requested cooperation from the Union government for the development of Andhra Pradesh, which was assured.
