He accompanied his statement with an image featuring both the old and new parliament buildings, the latter of which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 28.

It’s worth noting that the monsoon session of parliament concluded recently in the old Parliament building. The announcement of this Special Session took the political circles by surprise, particularly since various parties are gearing up for assembly polls in five states later this year.

Traditionally, the winter session of Parliament starts in the final week of November.
