New Delhi: A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team reached former Jammu and Kashmir governor Satya Pal Malik’s residence here to question in connection with an alleged insurance scam.
In a notice sent to him last week, CBI asked Malik to join the inquiry regarding the e alleged irregularities in two projects in Jammu and Kashmir.
Malik had claimed that during his tenure as the governor of Jammu and Kashmir, a bribe of 300 crores was offered to him for clearing two development-related projects which he cancelled.
According to the information, a CBI team arrived at the Som Vihar residence of Malik in RK Puram to seek clarification from him on his claim.

This is the second time, he had been quizzed by the central probe agency. In October last year, CBI recorded his statement on the matter.
CBI had registered two cases regarding these matters. These cases were registered when Satyapal Malik was the governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
Satyapal Malik has been vocal against the central government since the time of Kisan Andolan in 2020. Recently, in an interview, Satyapal Malik labelled some serious allegations against Narendra Modi and BJP.
