CBI Targets Illegal Sand Mining In Rajasthan, Raids 10 Locations

CBI officials seized over Rs 20 lakh and a homemade pistol during searches in various locations, including Jaipur, Tonk, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Bhilwara, Karoli, and Sikar districts in Rajasthan, as part of an illegal sand mining case.

Rajasthan: CBI Targets Illegal Sand Mining, Raids 10 Locations

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted searches at 10 locations in Rajasthan on Saturday related to illegal sand mining in the state.

Agency officials reported that they seized over Rs 20 lakh and a homemade pistol during searches in various locations, including Jaipur, Tonk, Jodhpur, Nagaur, Bhilwara, Karoli, and Sikar in Rajasthan.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took over the illegal sand mining case initially registered by the Bundi police, following orders from the Jaipur Bench of the Rajasthan High Court, officials said.

The FIR alleges that Sharukh was arrested on October 24 last year for transporting 40 MT of minor mineral (sand) in a dumper with the registration number RJ-08-GB-3162 without a valid permit.
