Patna: The new government of Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav has to face a trust vote in the Bihar Legislative Assembly today i.e. on Wednesday, but before that there was a stir in the political circles of the eastern state.

The CBI started raids early in the morning on the premises of the ruling RJD’s MLC co-treasurer and Biscoman chairman Sunil Singh. But even bigger news is ahead and that is that RJD’s Rajya Sabha MP Ashfaq Karim is also seen coming under the clutches of CBI. Because along with Sunil Singh, the CBI has also raided the places of Ashfaq Karim in Patna.

After this raid by the CBI, there has been a stir in the political corridor of Bihar. Here RJD MLC and Biscoman chairman Sunil Singh have claimed that they are being implicated.

“Why has today been chosen for the raid? I am being deliberately harassed and all this is happening at the behest of the central government,” Sunil Singh told the media.

CBI raid against RJD MP Ashfaq Karim

The CBI also raided the premises of RJD’s Rajya Sabha MP Ashfaq Karim in the early hours of Wednesday. During this raid, the CBI team raided the places of Sunil Singh and Ashfaq Karim in Patna. Sources say that many teams of CBI are engaged in this raid and some teams have also been kept in backup. At the same time, the ED team is also conducting raids.

After this raid by the CBI, there has been tremendous political stir. Meanwhile, several leaders including independent MLCs supporting RJD reached outside Sunil Singh’s residence. RJD leaders allege that they already suspected that CBI and ED could do this, because today is the floor test of Nitish-Tejashwi government. RJD alleges that this raid was conducted to prevent the leaders from reaching the House.
